Lawsuit Claims Sexual Abuse and Trafficking By Vince McMahon

Former WWE hand has sued Vince McMahon over claims that he abused her and sexually exploited her when he was the CEO of the wrestling company. Janel Grant, a former hand of WWE filed an action in the District Court USA the District of Connecticut named Vince McMahon, along with former WWE Talent Relations head John Laurinaitis, and WWE itself as defendants. The action accuses the three parties of violating the Trafficking Victims Prevention Act( TVPA), negligence, civil battery, and” purposeful Infliction of Emotional torture” for conduct that took place on WWE property and using WWE backing.

According to the complaint, Vince McMahon became friends with Grant, who lived next door in an apartment complex, in 2019 after finding out through the resident manager that Grant’s parents had passed away and that she was seeking employment. Grant claims that she eventually gave in to McMahon’s push to enter a sexual relationship. The lawsuit claims that McMahon put Ms. Grant in a difficult situation where she had to choose between giving in to his sexual demands or risking ruin when he pressed her for a physical relationship in exchange for a long-term job guarantee at WWE.The accuses Vince McMahon of obliging entitlement into a sexual relationship in exchange for employment at WWE.

The action also states that Vince McMahon would” rain Ms. Grant with gifts and empty work elevations, while at the same time hanging her livelihood and character” if she did not meet McMahon’s demands, which included engaging in coitus acts with other WWE workers. In one incident named in the action, Vince McMahon allegedly participated in unequivocal prints and videos of entitlement with other WWE workers and people outside of the company, with a” The lawsuit specifically mentions a well-known athlete and former UFC Heavyweight Champion whom WWE was working hard to sign to a new contract. This athlete’s name wasn’t mentioned in the action, but the timing matches the period when Brock Lesnar was involved in accommodations to return to the WWE.

Per the action, Grant was dragooned to abdicate from the WWE and forced to subscribe to an NDA shortly before a” major fiscal deadline” for the company. The terms of the NDA, which was also handed as an exhibition in the action, stated that Grant would be paid $3 million. still, Vince McMahon latterly refused to make the payments, with the action claiming that McMahon believed she had blurted information to the press.

As lawyer of Ms. Grant Stated that “her client has experienced significant suffering because of Vince McMahon and Mr. Laurinaitis. She is an extraordinarily brave and modest individual. Ms. Grant is hoping that by suing, she will stop other women from being mistreated. The company needs to accept accountability for the wrongdoing of its leaders because they are fully aware of Mr. McMahon’s history of immoral behavior.”
